With revolutionary towels that have started a worldwide trend, what awaits these two towel entrepreneurs in the Dragons' Den

Watch on BBC 2 - 9pm - Sunday 10th September

Earlier this year, Andy & Ben walked into Dragons’ Den to pitch Dock & Bay to a panel of 5 wealthy investors in front of a full team of camera crew whilst standing proudly next to their beloved towels.

Dragons' Den is the British equivalent of Shark Tank in the USA and Australia.

Although daunting, they walked out alive, and on the 10th September you will all get to find out exactly how it went when it is shown on BBC TWO at 9pm.

How do you think they fared? Read more below and in Andy's full 'Part 1' blog here.

Going into Dragons’ Den has to go down as the most surreal moment of my life. However prepared Ben and I were, we couldn’t prepare ourselves for walking into a room of successful entrepreneurs worth a combined total close to £750 million. I’m still happy if I find £10 in my trousers.

Having lived and breathed our unique towels for the last 2 years, this was to be the ultimate test.

The story as told by Benno

I generally don’t fly from Sydney to London for nothing – this seemed like a big deal! When we set out to start Dock & Bay we genuinely didn’t really know what we were getting ourselves into. We simply wanted to create a new product that as travellers, we would love and use.

Presenting our unique towel products in the “Den” was both a compliment to what we had created, and recognition to what a worldwide success the product has been.

The making of the original 'quick dry' towel

Founded by Andy (UK) and Ben (Australia) in 2015, Dock & Bay have taken the traditional cotton towel and completely reinvented it for the better, using microfibre material.

As travellers, they realised a traditional beach towel was too big and bulky while abroad, and standard travel towels were small and dull, and couldn’t be used at the beach. So they set out to make a product that they could be proud of and use while backpacking to all corners of the globe. As budding entrepreneurs, they took it upon themselves to look at how their newly created product could be shared with the millions of travellers, beach goers, families and yoga lovers out there. To be honest, anyone that needs to be dry! With all the great benefits of being quick to dry, highly absorbent, compact when folded, odour free and sand repelling - you can't go wrong with this new take on the traditional towel.

And here they are. 2 years on. Ready to pitch to the Dragons. Check them out.
